Soil Prep Is the Whole Ballgame

Sod laid on unprepared ground is money wasted. Heavy clay is common across Moore and Norman, and new-build lots are often compacted by construction equipment. Roots can't push into that, and water can't drain through it.

We remove old turf and weeds, loosen and level the soil, and grade so water moves away from the foundation. It's the part of the job you never see — and the reason the sod actually takes.

The First Few Weeks

New sod needs consistent water while its roots knit into the soil below. We'll give you a clear watering schedule for the establishment period and tell you when it's ready for its first mow. If you have a sprinkler system, we'll check coverage on the new areas so nothing dries out.

After establishment, the lawn transitions to normal care — and if you're on a mowing plan with us, we take it from there.

Sod vs. Letting It Recover

Sod isn't always the right call. Bermuda is resilient, and a weedy but living lawn sometimes just needs consistent mowing and watering to fill back in. During the estimate we'll tell you honestly which situation you're in — we'd rather sell you the service you actually need.
